Itinerary

After the customary “Swagat” (Welcome), our representative will meet you at the airport and assist you in getting to the hotel so you can check in. Delhi is a thriving metropolis that successfully combines the ancient and the contemporary. Its advantageous position was the critical factor that led succeeding dynasties to select it as their capital.

More fabled towns are thought to exist here, including Indraprastha from the Hindu epic Mahabharata, which was established approximately 5000 BC. Over centuries, various kings constructed numerous monuments, including Qutub-ud-din Aibek, Alauddin Khilji, Tughlaks, Humayun, and Shah Jahan, who made the walled city of Shah Jahanabad. Sir Edwin Lutyens put out a large central administrative region as a memorial to British authority in India later in the first part of the 20th century, when he constructed much of New Delhi. The division between New Delhi and the walled city symbolizes the division in lifestyles.

Day 2 :
New Delhi

Today you will be exploring the best tourist places in Delhi. Viewing the enormous Jama Masjid, Old Delhi’s principal mosque, in the fortified city of Shahjahanabad from the 17th century. The largest and most well-known mosque in India was constructed in 1656 AD by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.

Moving ahead in the Delhi sightseeing tour, take a rickshaw ride through Chandni. The Red Fort, which Shah Jahan erected in the year 1648, is accessible through Chowk, the old market of Shah Jahanabad. We go to Raj Ghat in New Delhi, a monument to Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. The spot of his cremation on January 31, 1948, is memorialized with a straightforward platform made of black marble.

Later, we drive by the India Gate, a memorial created in 1931 to honour Indian soldiers who lost their lives fighting in World War 1. World and Afghan wars. The soldiers who died in these wars are inscribed on the walls. The sightseeing in Delhi also includes a visit to the President’s House. The President of India’s official residence was built in 1931. Until 1950 it was known as the Viceroy’s House and served as the residence of the Governor-General of British India

The Delhi sightseeing tour includes a visit to various UNESCO world heritage sites. Discover the Humayun’s Tomb, a 1562-built monument to Mughal Emperor Humayun. The complex is the first example of this style of Mughal architecture in India and is a World Heritage Site. Qutub undercuts Qutub-ud-din Aibek’s built-in 1206. It is an excellent example of Indo-Islamic architecture and the tallest brick minaret in the world (72 m). UNESCO has designated Qutub Minar and the surrounding monuments as a World Heritage Site.

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

By taking a quick flight, Varanasi Trip is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and one of the holiest locations in India for Hindus. The afternoon is leisure, and one must experience the Kashi tour’s activity: witnessing the spectacular Ganga Aarti (spiritual worship) tonight at the Ganges River ghats. One of the oldest continually inhabited places in the world is Varanasi, also known as Kashi or Benares, located on the banks of the Ganges River. Hindus still flock to this location in droves to take baths in the sacred river because they believe doing so will wash away their sins from their previous lifetimes.

Enjoy your Varanasi trip by exploring the temples and ghats with your guide. You will return to Dashashwamedh Ghat to see Ganga Aarthi. A spectacular ceremony is performed when groups of young priests wave lit oil lamps by the Ganges. An intense mood is produced by the combination of devotional hymns, chants, drums, chimes, and gongs.

Day 4 :
Varanasi

Start your day with a leisurely early morning boat ride on the holy river Ganga to see devotees praying on the riverbank. Return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, proceeds for the Varanasi sightseeing tour, including a visit to Vishwanath Temple, built by the Birlas, were planned by Pandit. Madan Mohan Malaviya.

Later we will visit the Buddhist pilgrimage site of Sarnath. The Buddha travelled to Sarnath after achieving enlightenment in Bodh Gaya, and it was there that he gave his first sermon to begin the “Wheel of Dharma” in the deer park. Night in Hotel

During the Banaras trip viewing the pre-dawn rituals at the Varanasi ghats is a must. And from a rowboat, there is no finer vantage point. The hallowed steps and the people who are on them are illuminated by the rising sun. The cremation ghats, where bodies are cremated on enormous pyres, are less inspiring but an essential aspect of religious life in the city. In 530 BC, the Buddha revealed the “Eightfold Path” to his five pupils in his first sermon, which Buddha delivered in Sarnath. The round Dhamekh denotes the precise location. The stupa was built-in AD 500 on the remains of a much older one commissioned by Emperor Ashoka of Maurya. The building is in a beautifully landscaped park with well-kept lawns and flower beds. After the Varanasi sightseeing tour, you will be dropped back at the hotel for rest.

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast, depart from the hotel and make your way to Varanasi Airport to catch a flight to Khajuraho. Upon arrival, meet and assist our representative and transfer to your hotel for check-in and overnight. Enjoy an afternoon Khajuraho tour of the legendary Khajuraho temples, famous for their erotic art. Afternoon free time continues till sunset.

The unique collection of shrines at Khajuraho owes their continued existence to their distant location in central India. Even when constructed between the 10th and 13th centuries, the temples were off the main path, miraculously escaping the notice of roving Muslim armies who decimated most of India’s sacred art during the Middle Ages. The stone artwork that adorns the Khajuraho shrines is renowned for its erotica. You’ll arrive in time to look at some of the main temples before dinner. Sensually carved stonework looks almost ethereal in the evening light.

The Orchha and Khajuraho tour will be short, then heading to Agra.

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

A short morning drive (3 hours) to the quiet settlement of Orchha. The Orchha tour packages include exploring the temples and palaces from the 16th century. A short drive to Jhansi, followed by lunch aboard an express train to Agra, arriving in the evening. Because of its peaceful, run-down mood and scenic location amid expanses of dhak forest on the banks of the Betwa, Orchha is one of our favourite places to visit in North India. It provides the perfect setting for a leisurely lunch.

Although often in poor condition and deserted, the monuments are more atmospheric. The 14 exquisite chhatris, or cenotaphs, rising from the northern banks of the river are the most famous, and you will have the chance to see them before continuing to Agra.
